Puppy Love

This is how Nora prefers Daisy: sleepy and soft. (Instead of lively and chewy. Poor Nora...)

And yes, Daisy is wearing that bib. She was Super-Puppy for a while today. :)
And of course, Dominic loves the puppy. I'm not sure, but I think she's stealing food from that fist.

"Ella, would you like water or milk?"
"Milk!"

Seems a sure thing, but I know a thing or two, so decide to double-check.

"Ella, would you like milk or water?"
"Water!"

Uh-huh. It's the "parrot-the-last-word" choice, which isn't a choice at all. Put the wrong thing in that cup, no matter what she said she wanted, and I'll hear about it. With annoyance and indignation. Adults can be so thick, really.

"Ella, what should I put in your cup?"

"Cup!"

"Ella. See your cup? What would you like to drink?"

"Drink!"

In case you're curious, she had milk.

Menu Monday

Monday: Whole-wheat penne with vegetable sauce and parmesan cheese
Pasta. Need we say more?

Tuesday: daycare is closed, due to my doctor's appointments

Wednesday: lentil-beet salad
Everyone loved this! They always do!

Thursday: grilled polenta, chicken cacciatore, lentils and cottage cheese
Polenta was liked by everyone. Chicken also a hit. The lentils and cheese were mostly for Ella, but Eliana, our Bean Girl, wanted some of that, too. I don't know where she put it all...

Friday: tofu-spinach curry on rice
After the first obligatory bite, Dominic only ate the tofu; Ella only wanted spinach. Everyone else ate all of it!
