Back to the park

Oh, how lovely to be able to get to the park again!!

This bold little fellow was checking out all the strollers. Seems she's learned they're a good source of food debris! Actually, judging from the girth, we determined this 'fellow' was probably a 'girl', soon to be a 'mommy'.

Spring!

Yes, we all wish for some SUNSHINE, dammit, and it sure would be nice if it were a little warmer.
But it is spring! Real, snow-gone, bulbs-growing, bird-chirping spring. If you remember that a scant month ago, we were still a metre deep in snow, it's not so very bad.

So. Spring. With flooding this year, and at the end of that?

Mud. Lots and lots of mud.
Oopy, goopy, rich-and-slithery mud.
Not for Maever, whose feet never touched the ground,
but for Addie?

"EEEEW! Get those icky boots away from my face!!!" And I duck dramatically, decrying the horrors of mud-crusted soles so close to my nose. Again, and again, and again.

It's really a perfect game for a swing.

Fine Dining

It was a lovely day for a walk, so off we went to the Glebe, and, because of the time spent meandering there and wandering about, it turned out that we were in need of sustenance before our return home. The Arrow and Loon was convenient...

Children's menus are fun to colour. They also make good place mats. It's good they serve some useful purpose, since we never order from them. I strongly disapprove of most children's menus. There is a woeful dearth of nutrition on a children's menu, balanced by a shameful excess of fat and salt.
Does it look like these children are having no fun at the restaurant because we're not eating deep-fried pseudo-chicken and fries?
Fenna was beginning to get a bit tired...
But she perked up when the food arrived! (That green blur is spinach.)

Charlotte's eyes widened when she saw the spinach salad, and she made a lunge for the tomatoes with a cry of satisfaction.
The pita and hummous was a hit, too.
It was a fun outing!
