Friday, Part 4: Lunch at a Restaurant!

After we'd ordered, and before our food arrived, we pulled out the Special Surprise I'd purchased at 3Little Monkeys. Oooo, a rainbow!

It looks like Dries is about to steal it from Fenna, but in fact he's handing it over. With a smile!

After a good morning out, Fenna signals our need to return home. Naptime!!
Fenna fades once again. This time, we took the poor mite home!

Friday, Part Three: Three Little Monkeys

Three little monkeys at 3 Little Monkeys. Look at them all playing so nicely at the train table while I hunt down a toy for our enjoyment! Except, wait... Two of them are at the table.
One of them...
 is on the table. Oopsy.
Godzilla Fenna! Run for your lives!!!

Friday, Part Two: Stella Luna!!

The children choose gelato by colour, generally. I would suggest this to you. It simplifies things sooooo much. Rather than go through 27 flavours, you can ask, "Do you want pink, white, or yellow gelato?" And then you get to pick the flavour within the chosen colour that you figure they'll enjoy. In this case, we went for yellow (mango sorbet) and white (Madagascar vanilla). There were other yellow and white choices, but you know what? They really don't need to have to agonize amongst three of one and five of the other. Nor do you!

A short stroller ride and some GELATO worked to perk droopy Fenna up!

Sharing, sharing, sharing!

A Typical Friday, in Four Parts.

Part One: Playgroup

Fenna started the morning with lots of energy.

Fenna's energy flagged after half hour of racing around.

Signs of Spring

The dust-sweeper-truck-thing* is in the park!
* Dries's term for it. Dries enjoys piling up the adjectives these days. The fellow at the end of the street is the 'big-rock-fancy-car-guy". It is important to be specific and accurate with your words.
Run, run!
Hide, hide!!
The sandstorm truck is coming!!!

More Park Time

The boy is a blur as he chases the ball!!

The girl a little less so...

I was sorry to see the boards go down: they made such a perfect play-pen for big-kid play!

This girl preferred bubbles to balls.
Addie brought chalk, which had to be explored!
And swings are ever-popular!
