You may or may not have see our tree. There is a tree on my dining room wall. A tall tree, to which we are/will be affixing leaves of various sorts, leaves that we will collect and press as we walk around the neighbourhood, leaves that we will create using different craft techniques. Our first venture into creating leaves, leaf rubbings, went home last week.
Anyway. The tree is made of several pieces of fingerprint paper, filled with a gloppy mix of brown and white liquid tempera, and a dollop of back tempera powder. The resulting paint was thick. THICK. See???
Nora likes finger-painting!
Dominic is not at all sure about it. Getting his hands that smeared up is rather worrisome. Still, better to participate and get goopy than have clean hands and be left out!
Ella likes finger-painting, too. Drop the paint on a big piece of paper, and she totally gets into the smearing zone.
Those of you who haven't seen the tree should step into the dining room and have a gander!
